Preset Shapes   Pen Tool   Airbrush   Smudge Tool

Color pallet I used, but feel free to use any color you like.

We are going to convert each vector layer seperately.
Click on the top layer of the front flower petal,
rightclick and choose Create Raster Selection press CTRL SHIFT P,
to promote selection to layer.
Do the same with all the vector layers.
Save!
Now onto the shading.
We are going to use the Airbrush and Smudge Tool
Here are the Airbrush settings I used.
You can try using a larger or smaller brush size for the different colors.
and these are the Smudge settings.
The front flower petals.
All flowers are different....feel free to shade them as you like.
I will show you a little bit how I did mine.
I did the shading on the same layer, and locked the transparency
on all the layers that needed shading.
Smudging
What I did was adding lighter and darker colors to the petal,
and kept blending them till I liked the result.
Like I said before it will never be the same.
Sample of all the flower petals.
Sorry I don't have all the petals for you.
Here is the sample to look at, to give an idea about the shading.
The front flower is the front of it...that's why it's darker.
The backflower petals are the backside of the flower, and a much lighter color.
Be creative and do as you like with each petal.....I know you can do it!!!
When you are done smudging and blending.
As you can see on the sample...I did add some extra lines on the petals.
Some are airbrushed with a smaller size brush, and I also did add lines using the Pen Tool

line width set to about 2 and a darker color, select the nodes
and choose Symmetric, shape them as you like.
I did lower the opacity of these layers to about 60 or 70.
Adding more lines.
I did add some more lines, these coming out of the center of the flower,
don't make to many...just 3 or 4, and use the darkest red.
Adding some more lines.
I made 3 lines for the top of the back flower.
Adding the last lines.
These are on the right side of the back flower.
I added 2 lines.
Add a new layer.
Drag this layer below the flowers.
For the backside of the front and back flower,
I used the Airbrush using this color #a37e1b,
and sprayed twice the shape of a circle.
You can see throught the petals a little.....don't make it to large.
Add a new layer.
I did add some dots and shapes on the lines.
I used the paintbrush size about 8 and the dark red color.
Just give a few dots...not to many. When done with the dots,
change your color to the yellow #f0c868 and make a short line...also just a few. Smudge them just a little.
The flowers are done.
Now the hardest part is all done....almost there...lolol !!!
Take a break, and when you are up to it, we will go to the next page!!
