Preset Shapes
Object Selector
Pen Tool
*note* I did save it as a preset shape first....before promoting to layers.
Make all parts on a separate layer and name them too,
so then you will know what it is *s*.
Add a new Vector Layer
Now for the Boybug....lolol....don't really know if there are any!
We did group the ladybug, so now we rightclick and choose copy from the menu,
again rightclick and paste as new vector selection.
Everything is on a separate layer, so it can be changed.
Choose the object selector and pull it from the right to the left.
When you are done, they are facing eachother. Don't forget to rename this group
"boy" or guy...lolol! Save! Now we can change the parts that we want to be changed.
On the wing layer, rightclick and choose properties, give the wings a different color.
Save!I did the same to the antenna's.
I also made the guybug a little larger, on the group layer,
and using the object selector, pull on the corner node,
and pull it out...not to much! I also changed his legs a bit. Save!Add a new Vector Layer
With the pentool and foreground color #405428 background null, line width at 6,
draw 3 lines. Save!Add a new Vector Layer
Set foreground to null and background to any color you like the flowers to be.
Choose preset shape ellipse, and draw 3 flowers and edit the nodes as shown. Save!Add a new Vector Layer
We will make the leaves, use the same settings as above,
only change the color to #476e1e. Try to shape the leaf as shown.
Now rightclick, copy and paste as new vector selection.
Rightclick again and choose properties from the menu,
change the color to a bit darker green.
Move the darker leaf layer under the light colored leaf layer,
now use the object selector and move the leaf a bit down.
This is how mine looks now. Save!Add a new Vector Layer
Foreground color is the darker green you used for the leaf, background null.
Use the pentool set at draw lines, line width set at 2,
draw a line and shape as shown. Save!Add a new Vector Layer
Make some more lines on the leaf as shown...still same settings. SaveThis is what we have now. And this is how my layers look like. Save! At this point you can save it as a shape, hold the shift button down,
click on the grouped layers, guybug, ladybug and leaves,
now rightclick and choose group from the menu, rename that grouped layer.
Click on the object selector and go to file, export, shape and give the file a name, click ok.
Open a new transparent image....size doesn't really matter, go to preset shapes,
click on retain style, and browse through the preset shapes...and see if your shape is there somewhere.
If it is...you have done a great job...lolol!!!You can convert to raster layer if you like and leave it as is,
or you can promote separate parts to raster layer, so you can make a few changes,
like adding a little bit of shade or use some effects, like the innerbevel.
If you want to make some changes.....then select the parts, rightclick and choose
create raster selection than "shift ctrl p" and rename the pomoted layer.
After this I always rightclick again on the vectored layer,
and choose clear from the menu. That way I don't have everything twice.I am leaving it all up to you now, for the finishing touch....so be creative.....
and I am sure you all are!!!
I hope you have enjoyed making the Lieveheersbeestjes!
