Now before converting to raster we can save the doll as a preset shape, by using the objectselector and from the top left to the bottom right, draw a rectangle, right click and choose group from the menu. Rename the grouped layer. Go to file and export.....then as shape, give the shape a name.
This is how my layers look like.
Ok time to promote to layer.....first we click on all the glasses and you will get the glasses with the redX, but leave 1 layer on to promote.
Right click and choose from the menu "Create Raster Selection", now you will get the marching ants. Now shift + ctrl + P, and this will promote the selection to layer.
Rename the promoted layer, so you will know what it is.*s*

*note* When I was done with a layer I have promoted, I right clicked again and choosed clear from the menu, so at the end there will be no layers left to promote and you can delete the empty vector layer.

Do the same with all the vector layers.

Hope you are not forgetting to SAVE!!!
We now will do some shading.
Starting with the head, select and float, and apply an "CutOut" color #C38363 Vert + Hor both 0, opacity 75 and blur 55, do the same for the body.
For the legs and arms are the settings same color Vert + Hor 0, opacity 55 and blur 35.
This is how my doll looks like at the moment.
Go to the cheak layer and give a "Gaussian Blur" between 3 and 5.
These are the "CutOut" settings I used for the lips, but do them as you wish.
I did give the eyes a "Gaussian Blur" of 0.75, did this to soften them a bit.
Also applyed this to the "eyelashes".
For the eyebrows I also applyed the same blur, only set to 0.50....as you can see I changed the color before doing this.....didn't like the black at all....LOL!
Now we will use the airbrush and the back hair, use the settings as shown and spray 3 different colors, don't spray to much.
We will blend them a bit with the smudge tool, settings as shown.
For the back hair you only have to do the bottom. The front hair will be done the same way, and smudge it a bit over the back hair.
To give it a soft look, you can use "Gaussian Blur" 0,50 or 0,75....don't blur to much. You can also use soften from the retouch tool, so do as you wish.
These are the settings I used for the shading of the skirt and blazer.
First I used the darkenRGB with these settings.
After the the darken, I used the lightenRGB tool with these settings.
When I was done with the darken and lighten I used the soften tool, just a little bit.
This is how mine looks now.
We are almost done...LOL!
The shoes, well you can shade them with the darken tool, or apply a very tiny innerbevel, so do what you like best.
Add a raster layer
I did give both eyes a white spot, after that used "Gaussian Blur" set to 3......yes and we are done!

I do hope you have enjoyed making my Cartoon Doll, as I have writing this tutorial!
