Now for the tutorial....
This is what we will be making! Mijn Paashaasjes.....that's Dutch for My Easter Bunny's...LOL!
I did get this idea, when I saw something like this, made from wood,
so I thought I would try and write a tutorial for it.....think it's cute...LOL!
It is assumed that you have a good working knowledge of PSP.
This tutorial uses vector shapes.
It isn't really difficult and you can save it as a preset shape as well as a tube.
You can find on my other Tutorials how to save it as a shape.
PSP 7
download a free trial version.....and I'm sure you will have lots of fun.
Eye Candy 4000 .....it also can be done with the Free version Eye Candy 3.
The tools I used:
Preset Shapes
Object Selector
Selection Tool
Retouch tool
Layer Visibility Toggle
Air Brush
Dropper
Draw tool
Let's try to make the Paashaasjes!......hope you have fun!
Open up a transparent image size around 750 x 450 16 million colours (24 bit).
Don't forget to save as you go along.
*note* I did save it as a preset shape first....before promoting to layers.
Make all parts on a separate layer and name them too,
so then you will know what it is *s*.
I will not use a color palette....as I thought that you can use any color you like
....and I always change my colors along the way....LOL!
I'm going to give you some settings I used when I was done making all the parts
Add a new Vector Layer
Click on the Preset Shapes set to circle and line width 1,
choose two colors, this will be the body colors.
Choose a darker color for the foreground and a lighter for the background.
First we are going to make the head of the right bunny.
Edit the nodes as shown. Save and convert if you wish.

Add a new Vector Layer
Use the same settings and make the head of the left bunny.
Edit this too as shown. Save and convert if you wish.
Add a new Vector
Layer
Use the same settings as for the heads,
only choose two different colors and make the dress, edit as shown.
Save....and convert.
*I will not repeat this....as you will make up your own mind
about converting or saving it....for later use as shape or not.*..LOL..*s*
Add a new Vector Layer
again same settings, and now we will make the sleeve for the right bunny.
Edit the nodes as shown.
Add a new Vector Layer
For the shirt of the left bunny,
use the same settings, draw and edit the nodes as shown. Save!
Add a new Vector Layer
use the same settings, and now we will make the sleeve for the left bunny.
Shape it as shown.
The sleeve is on his back....cause they are carrying the carrot remember....LOL.. Save!
Add a new Vector Layer
It's a he bunny....LOL, so he does have pants!
Use the same settings, and shape as shown....Save!
Add a new Vector Layer
Use the same colors for the legs as you did for the head, also same settings.
Shape it as shown, now you can dulpicate the legs 3 times.....4 legs...LOL, 2 for each bunny.
Edit each leg the way you like them best. Save!
This is what we have so far!

Add a new Vector Layer
We are going to make the hand for the right bunny.
Use the same settings and edit the nodes as shown....Save!
Add a new Vector Layer
Now for the hand of the left bunny, same settings and edit as shown.
Save!
Add a new Vector Layer
Now this is a bit tricky....LOL...but bunny's have 2 large front teeth...hahaha!
To see it a bit better what you are doing....keep on zooming!
I did choose a grey color for the line and white for the inside,
same shape and edit until it looks a bit like this.
When I was done I used the grey color to draw a line between the 2 teeth.
I did duplicate this layer aswell and edited it for the right bunny. Save!

This is how I placed the teeth on both bunny's.

Add a new Vector Layer
On this layer I did draw all the lines needed for the left bunny.
You can do this with the drawtool set to bezier and edit the nodes or draw them just freehand.
I have set the line width to 1 and used the line color of the head, hand, and legs.
Draw the lines and edit as shown in the example.

Add a new Vector Layer
I did the same for the right bunny, this is how she looks.....SAVE!

Add a new Vector Layer
Use the same color as the lines from above (or what you like best) preset shape circle, forground null, and draw the eyes both on a separate layer....Save!

Add a new Vector Layer
Draw the cheaks on separate layers and use a pink color (or color you like) same settings.....SAVE!

Add a new Vector Layer
Now for the carrot....use a orange color for the background
and a bit darker orange for the foreground, and same shape, edit as shown. Save!

Add a new Vector Layer
For the top of the carrot....which I don't know how to name.....LOL...
I used 2 green colors, darker green for the forground,
and a bit lighter for the background, edit the nodes as shown.....SAVE!

Add a new Vector Layer
Now for the carrot lines I did the same as I did for the head, hand and legs of the bunny's.
So you can use the drawtool set to bezier or use freehand and line width 1,
and I used a dark brown color.
This is how mine looked at this point.

This is how my layers look like now....
and all hard work is done.....just a few finishing touches needed.

This is what we have now.
I didn't use colors I liked and no patterns.....so I will do that after promoting every layer.
I'm leaving this up to you how to finish it....and I know you all are very creative.
You can use the cutout, airbrush or darken and lighten tool to give it some depth, so do what you like best.
Hope you did have fun....and I know it was a bit hard work too,
so if you did get this far.... be proud....LOL!!

and have saved it as a shape.
First I did change all colors and used a pattern for the dress and shirt.
Then I selected all parts one by one and gave them a "Cutout"
Vert and Hor both 0 and a color a little bit darker then the darkest color used for that part, opacity set to 100 and blur 25.
I did set the line layers to 50....made them a bit softer.
I gave the cheaks a Gaussian Blur of 3.00.
To all parts I added noise set to 10. Did this after applying the cutout.
Then I used EyeCandy Jiggle, bubble size 4.00, warp amount 3.46,
twist 45, seamless tile unchecked, random seed 10 and Turbulence.
When I was done with all of this from above, I used the retouch tool DarkenRGB round and all settings 20.
The last thing I did, was using the retouch tool LightenRGB round size 20, hardness 20, opacity25
step 20 and density 30.
I hope this helps a bit....and that you have enjoyed my tutorial!
