Now this is where you can group
your layers......and I do hope you did save it as you went along!!!
Choose
the
object selector and from the top left to the bottom right draw a
rectangle,
until everything is selected, then right click and choose GROUP
from the menu. Now give the grouped layer a name.
Go to the file menu and
export as a shape.

This is how my layers look like and I named all
layers
it's much easier if you do that before promoting
then you will know
which part you are on.

Before promoting anything, I first hide all
layers
and leave just 1 open, that is the layer I will promote
first.
Click on the
and you will see
.
right click
on the visible layer and choose from the menu:
Create Raster
Selection
You will have the marching ants now.
Go to the
Selections menu and choose Promote to Layer

This is how your layers will look like now.

Rename the promoted layer, so you still will know which part it
is.
After promoting and renaming I always choose clear from the
menu,
right click on the layer you just have promoted
and choose CLEAR from
the menu.

I do this with each layer I promote,
and now at the end
there will be no layers left,
and you can delete the empty vector layer.
I
hope you still are SAVING!
Well I think at this point most hard work is
done....LOL
so on to the finishing touch.....
Go to the inside shoe
layer, and select all, click on it,
now the inside is with the marching ants,
then modify contract 5
add a layer, stand on the new layer and
flood fill
with a brown color, I used #532E03, keep selected
and now use
the airbrush and a bit lighter brown color,
I used #7F552F with these
settings:
don't spray to much....we are not done yet!

Keep
selected and now use this texture:

It will look like this:

Deselect and SAVE!
Still on the texture layer, go to
Eye Candy Jiggle with these settings:

Now it looks like real soil...LOL, at least I think so!

Hide the decoration layer, so now you see only the
shoe,
shoe inside and soil. Select the shoe inside and float,
apply CUT OUT
color black, Vert. and Hor. both 0, opacity 45 and blur 20.
Deselect and
SAVE!
Select and float the shoe, apply CUT OUT again with Vert. and Hor. both
0, opacity 80 blur 70.
Now we will use the retouch tool for darkening and
lighting....just a little bit,
because I told.....it isn't a new wooden
shoe....and we did paint it ourselves...LOL
these are both settings:

When I
was done it looked like this:.....and SAVE!

Make
the decoration layer visible, apply an inner bevel with these settings:

I
merged visible only the 3 stem layers, and used CUT OUT with these
settings:
Vert. and Hor. 0, opacity 45 and blur 20 color black.
Then I
applied a CUT OUT for the Leaves and Tulips with these settings:
Vert. and
Hor. 0, opacity 45 and blur 40 color black.
Now you can see it all much
better.....but we are not done yet!
We will darken and lighten all the leaves
and stem one by one,
with the retouch tool and same settings as for the
shoe.
This is how my leaf looks like when done.....I think you can see the
difference.

Do the same with all the front parts of the Tulips.
Mine
look like this:
We are almost done....
This is a good time to arrange the
layers as you like them,
and when your done, hide the shoe, shoe inside, soil
and decoration layers.
Merge visible the stem, all the leaves and all the
tulip layers.
Now hide the merged layer and the decoration layer and
layer1,
merge the shoe, shoe inside and soil layers visible.
We have to
get rid of the bottom of the tulips, and want that to be as it is in the
soil.
To get this done I lowered the opacity of the merged tulips layer.
My
layers and with the lowered opacity looks like this:

Highlight the tulips layer and choose the Lasso tool with these
settings:

Zoom in a few times so you can see it better,
and
select point to point the bottom of the tulips.
When selected hit the delete
key.

When I was done I moved the tulips a little bit
higher
SAVE!!!! and we are done!!!!
Now you can finish it in the way you
like best!

I hope you did enjoy my first tutorial, as I did making
it!!
Take care and have fun, Knuffels Vera
